My Dad Makes Us Late For A Train

I was on holiday somewhere with my Dad. We were chatting about something whilst walking around this countryside area. Then I suddenly asked my Dad what time it was. He told me and I panicked, saying we were going to be late for the train we had to catch. He seemed calm and said the train had been delayed anyway. As we headed back to the cottage, I asked if we'd be taking the dogs with us on the train. He said they would be staying in the cottage.
