I’m a sheriff, and I find myself standing in the sanctuary of a Catholic church. The priest is standing at the pulpit bare naked. Before him sits a young audience – uncomfortable but obedient. I have been asking him to confess and he is finally willing. — I’m now a younger 20-something version of myself and I’m standing in the kitchen of a small trailer home. Through the windows I can see it’s a very nice summer day, trees envelope the property, with other trailers close by. My phone rings, and it’s the priest. “I’m ready to tell you everything,” he says, and I quickly spring to action. I grab some things and head straight out the door, still on the phone as he begins to confess what he’s done. I’m walking through a dirt path that goes behind every trailer. Each property has a backyard that butts up against the path. The phone is gone. That’s old news. Now I’m focused on the path and the crazy things in people’s yards. Dogs are playing roughly, and I realize they are our friend’s dogs, staying at someone else’s house for the week while they’re out of town. Suddenly I feel a wave of jealousy and disappointment wash over me. “Why doesn’t anybody come to us for things?” I ask myself, “I want to be useful.” I pass another yard with cows in it. “Why can’t we have cows, and grow produce for our friends?” I think. On the path ahead of me, I see two giant bulls fighting. As I move toward them I realize it’s likely dangerous to pass by fighting bulls and I start to back away. At that point, one of them sees me and charges! I jump sideways and then lunge at it while yelling cowboy sounds. “HEY! WHOA!! GIT!” I yell, waving my arms at it. The bull calms down and moves aside. An older man and his son are on the trail, talking about something, and they walk with me back to my trailer. I’m now a girl, around 18 or so. The house now resembles my childhood home except the stove is on the kitchen island. I’m showing them how I usually cook meatloaf. I’m cooking on the stovetop: - Meatloaf - Spinach - Tomatoes - Burgers It looks like a good meal. I wake up to my alarm, feeling very full.
