Working on ladder with grandson

I dreamt I was working on a ladder over a stairway with my grandson. My grandson was hanging off the ladder and was going to fall I could could not grab him. I remember yelling out and asking Bill for help. Bill was a stepfather to me around 40 years ago. He wasn't very good to me at sometimes. Although in his defense I was quite an active child and Snoopy at times.I remember he was sitting in front of the TV with bags of sunflower seeds and eat them for hours at a time. He ended up dying of cancer in the mouth. Also a different part of the dream we were getting ready to load up a trucking drive out to the field in the desert somewhere
