Bought a house but owner wasn’t moving out

In this dream, I was at a party with my husband- there was an older Hispanic man who told us that he’s selling his house for a really good price. So we agreed and wrote him a check, I don’t know how much it cost. A few minutes later, it hit me: why did we buy a house from a man without knowing the price AND without looking at the house on the inside. The outdoor looked very nice though. So we went to take a look and it was gorgeous- everything we wanted. But all of the mans stuff was still there. He revealed to us that he won’t be moving out, but that he’s moving to live in the basement, but everything else is ours. I was really upset and said that’s such bullshit. Spent the rest of the dream trying to decide if we should stay there or rent it out.
