I went home, packed lightly, and bought a plane ticket. It was my first time there and i didn't know the language. I took pictures of restaurants, hotels, and stores. After a few hours of being lost I called a friend. I sent him a picture of a hotel lobby as a hint and asked him to guess where i was. At first he stated that he doesn't know, but after a few minutes he answered Japan. Yes I replied and followed up by asking him how he knew. He said that he was familiar with the hotel and then said so you went there with some group? I told him that I was alone and didn't know how long i was going to be away. He was happy for me and we ended the call. Some time passed and eventually I found myself on a train. I still didn't know the language and almost everyone around me was a local. Except for the women that was sitting across from me. I noticed her the second she moved her things to make room for an elderly man that had just boarded. He chose to stand instead of sitting next to her. I finally said something to her, but honestly it felt like I had just sat there thinking about it for hours. She was from Nevada, had been in Japan for almost a year, could speak it, but was working on profecting a particular accent. They don't take me serious because of the way i sound, she said. We talked some more and eventually ended up hitting it off. Time passed again and i found myself on another plane. I think i was going to New York, but didn't know why. The girl from before was longer with me. The plane lands, I get off, and start to look around. After leaving the airport I find myself in an area that looks familiar (I'd never been to New York so this didn't make sense). I bump into a women on accident (it's the one from Japan!). We're both surprised and happy to have found each other again. We go to a food court to grab something to eat. While ordering a the friend that I had called while in Japan shows up. I make introductions and ask him what he's doing in New York. He responds: You're not in New York. There was an issue with your plane and they had to stop in California!
