This was sort of spontaneously in the middle of wakefulness in the middle of the night. I was at home, and someone was knocking at the basement door. It wasn’t the ground door, but the one to the outside. I was at the bottom. In a woman’s kind, Japanese-accented voice, she knocked, asking why I had locked the door and that it was a funny joke, but please let her in now. I didn’t, though, and the knocking got progressively louder, but the voice didn’t. Suddenly, the pounding on the door was deafening and very, very fast, and a robotic version of the voice earlier seems to have glitched, repeating over and over, “Voice. Voice. Voice.”. This was terrifying. I woke up a moment later and didn’t want to move, it was so bad.
