I'm riding the school bus to school and notice that I've chosen to wear my green cammies with my bar on the rank tab. I think even if they're woodland cammies which are no longer a uniform, I still can't wear the rank even as civilian clothes so I slip it off. At another point I'm wearing summer whites, tropical version with the shorts, with nothing on them, again, as civvies. A fellow millitary guy asks to see what I'm wearing. The shirt has turned into more of a poncho, and the material is a little more rustic, so I look like someone out of biblical times and a little dressy.
