The time of the dream was October 19, 2015. It started off on a Monday, which resembled something like Columbus Day, because my sister had off from school. My parents had no plans on going out anywhere, so I decided to venture off on my own to a place I wanted to go. It happened to be a small quaint town in northwestern NJ. In real life, I never been there before, but I've seen pictures of it and the pictures exactly matched up to my dream, colors and all. So I arrived at the main strip, Center Street, and walked the town. It was a nice sunny day, and I was going to splurge on a nice dinner and dessert. I found a dimly lit restaurant. The name of it was not clear, but it was two words. I go inside, and the restaurants atmosphere was antique. I saw chairs covered in checkerboard cloths, resembling a picnic style. I order a bean dish and stuffed corn rolls wrapped with rice and beans and ate my heart out. After dinner I walk down the street and stopped at Rockin' Joe's for dessert, since I was craving macaroons. When I enter and order my blueberry macaroons, and after I received them, all of a sudden I saw Joe and Keani. I greeted them saying how long it was since I've last seen them. We started talking and Keani said to me that she and Joe were in a relationship and they were serious about it, so they were telling me that both of their parents approved them to rent out an apartment in Clark. I congratulated them, and told them I would be uncomfortable doing that unless I was serious with my boyfriend. Then, we merged into a large crowd and we had to walk a few miles back to our cars (not sure why this happened). We walked on a busy intersection with a fence to our right. We were walking on high elevation so I was able to see miles and miles of land overlooking me. It was overcast, and at times I was even able to see the New York skyline! I asked the group to pause so I can take a few pictures, knowing that I love New York. After a never ending walk I finally got to my car, and wanted to go to the mall, since downtown wasn't enough for me. I go to a mall I've never been to before around the same area, and when I arrived, I parked at a department store I've never heard of. The lettering reminded me of the lettering of The Christmas Tree Shops, but that wasn't it. I entered through the department store, and walked towards the mall. However, it was no longer a mall. It was a three story house. I entered from the third floor, saw a quick glimpse of my Nonna Sara cooking and went down a flight of stairs to the second floor. My goal was to escape the house through the first floor. On the second floor, it was more narrow. I barely had any space. The only way down was a tiny elevator the size of my body. Literally, I had to squeeze myself to fit into it and make it close so I could go down. All my belongings such as my pocketbook and scarf went down another elevator. There was a young lady there to help me just in case I got stuck. She had blonde hair. I tried about 20 times to go down the elevator but it wouldn't close on me. I was about to give up until I asked her to help me one more time, and then it worked. I was down to the bottom floor and escaped through the department store again. As I left the mall there was a stray shower so I stayed inside until the rain passed. While I waited I saw a young boy with his mom opening up their umbrella and walking out. Once the sky cleared up I walked outside, almost forgetting where I parked. All of a sudden my dad appeared with his car and asked me where I parked and pointed in different directions. It was at this time I remembered again and told him where I parked. So he then told me to be careful driving home and to get home by Thanksgiving, and he left. I have no clue why he mentioned Thanksgiving, it was October. Maybe he thought I was going to be away for a while. So I drive home and my dad and I reconnect again. We drive in one car (with him on the wheel) through beautiful fall foliage and something just prevents me from taking a picture of it. Maybe we were going too fast, or maybe it was just breathtaking. Then the dream stopped. To be honest, this was one of the most meaningful dreams I've had in a long time.
