Middle school gym class

I had to go to gym class but I didn’t want to. I considered going to the nurse but didn’t. I had to go into the girls locker room. My backpack was on a bench and the 2 zippers were closed at the top with an inch of space between them. Someone told me I should close it all the way or the gym teacher would open it. Everyone was going out to the gym but I stayed. A few girls told me I should clean the floors by scraping them with a spoon (?). I did that and as I got to the door coach Gardner walked in with a broom. She said she didn’t like the floors scrapped because it made it harder to sweep. She showed me how it was easier to sweep without scrapping first. I told her the girls told me I should do it. She was very nice and forgiving.
