1) Driving along River Rd toward Washington Crossing. So beautiful. Golden bears in the river. Waterfall and sunset. Drive the same way repeatedly to enjoy the sites. Last time, Sheri is driving. Mom keeps telling her to look at the bears and the flowers and the waterfall. But she can't look. She is driving. 2) tour of Chicago. End up in Polish Catholic neighborhood. Walking around. Weird tiny shops in houses. Walk on porch of home that makes catholic school uniforms. Into another shop. Dad wants us to try the food, but it all looks gross. He thinks it is great. Really old people who don't speak English. Styrofoam cup of soup has huge meat chunk, looks like liver. I can't eat this and look for a way to get rid of it. Many weird old displays for sale. Like doll houses but meant to symbolize some commodity or service. Super cool shoes. Glam platforms, etc. but only one of each and none are my size.
