Suspended in space

This is an old dream from when I was maybe about 10 or so. My grandmother and I are sitting on a square wooden plank which is suspended by ropes. All around us is darkness; it seems like we are in space, but there are no planetary bodies or stars. We are just sitting, cross legged and looking at each other.
