the window clicker

when I was younger I lived at my dad's and he had given me this "window clicker" it had a single button on it and if you clicked the button while pointing at two windows they became portals. there was no visible sign that they were portals just the fact that anything that touched one would come through the other. years later , I was sitting on Skype with my girlfriend Jodi and we were talking. .she wanted me to come over, I had no way of getting out of my room without waking my family since it was midnight and every step on the stairs creeked along with various other spots in the house. I thought to myself for a few minutes then I remembered that I had the clicker. I looked all around for it then finally found it sitting on a shelf. I clicked a window in my room and a mirror in the hall to see if that would work, it did. I traveled through the window / mirror combo and saw a window in the front room I clicked that and the mirror I had just exited and traversed through them. the next window I clicked on took me to the outside somehow and I had excaped the house. I couldn't figure out how I had gotten out the other side and had tried using it on vehicles . but to No avail. I tried calling Jodi, but she had already fell asleep and I couldn't wake her up . I decided to go back inside so I kept trying to get a window that would transport me back inside the house and on the third try I got inside and made my way back to my room.
