In my dream I baked cookies to sell. At first I wanted to sell them on a train or bus. My bro Tom took one and his friend Ricky took two cookies before I went out to sell them. I felt like I was hustling this as a side business to make some quick cash. When I came back after a few hours, I realized some of the cash paid to me was worth nothing more than Monopoly money. I got angry because I gave them change with real money. I separated the real currency from the fake stuff and was grateful I made some real money, about $100. Some of the cookies were from the recipe I originally intended to make, peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Some other cookies made their way into my mix: brownie cookies. Even though some of the cookies had to be rebaked (and burned a bit on the bottom) or broke into smaller pieces, people were still interested in buying them. I was glad. I walked across the street to take the bus back home. When I got back, I was told I can just knock on doors and sell my cookies that way. But I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that, so I said I’d think about it. Home, by the way, was my first address when my family lived before my parents split and broke up the family.
AI generated interpretation Your dream about selling cookies carries rich symbolic and emotional themes related to effort, value, identity, and connection. Baking and selling cookies can represent your creativity and effort to nurture or offer something meaningful to others—your “product” being an extension of yourself or your skills. The fact that you view it as a side hustle suggests a desire for independence or resourcefulness, exploring new avenues for personal growth or financial gain. The setting of public transport like a train or bus symbolizes transition, movement, and interaction with diverse people or opportunities. Your brother Tom and his friend Ricky taking cookies before your venture suggests supportive relationships, or possibly the mixing of personal and external influences as you embark on your goals. Discovering fake money alongside real cash captures themes of discernment and self-worth. It could reflect how you assess the value of your efforts—recognizing that not all feedback or returns are genuine or rewarding, yet appreciating the real success you achieved. Your careful separation of these currencies hints at growing clarity about what is truly meaningful versus superficial or deceitful in your life. The variety in your cookies—the original recipe and the ones that accidentally burned or broke—mirrors how your creations or efforts might not always turn out perfectly, yet they still attract interest and acceptance. This conveys resilience and the understanding that imperfection does not diminish your worth or others’ appreciation of you. Walking across the street to catch the bus home can symbolize bridging different areas of your life, moving toward familiarity or grounding after a phase of exploration. Finally, the connection to your original family home evokes deep emotional roots and perhaps unresolved feelings about past family dynamics. This anchor point may bring up subconscious reflections on your sense of security, identity, or how past experiences influence your current approach to independence and connection. Overall, your dream weaves together themes of creativity, value judgment, resilience, and the interplay between your personal past and present ambitions in a gentle, thoughtful way. It encourages you to acknowledge your efforts, recognize genuine worth, and consider how your roots shape your paths forward.
