Kitchen water dispenser

I dreamt that I was in my kitchen early in the morning preparing to get out of the house. At the kitchen table has this setup done by my mum which will automatically pour hot water into a container. It was made up of the hot kettle seated on top of a glass container. Magically, hot water starts dispensing from the kettle at a particular timing. As it poured water from the kettle I noticed that some water started seeping out from the container onto the kitchen table, and then to the floor. Since the water was hot, I don’t dare to go near it. But I tried to stop it by poking the kettle sprout with something. I managed to remove the kettle from the setup and stop the water flow, but but the kettle was already mostly empty, and the floor was already very wet.
