The wolf in the distance

So I had a dream last night where I was standing in a field within a forest preserve. While I am in this field, there is strong winds all around me, but not strong enough to knock me off of my feet or anything like that. The man I am in love with (we are currently I want to say broken up but I guess since we are still talking and seeing one another it is more of a situationship) is on his knees in front of me with his arms wrapped tight around my waist. I would say the way he was gripping onto me could be considered desperate but more so a mix of that with maybe hanging on for dear life- if that makes sense. I have my arms around his shoulders and head just holding him against me. I can’t tell if he’s saying anything or crying since the wind is strong enough to drown out sounds. In the distance, right at the edge of the forest though, is a wolf. Just pacing slowly. The one thing I do remember about the wolf is the piercing ember colored eyes. There is no feel of any danger or threat- this wolf is just pacing and staring right at me as if looking deep into my soul. I have had dreams prior where I’ve had a wolf doing the same thing, except no wind and no other person there, just me. The same piercing ember eyes showed up then. This particular dream is one that was reoccurring for maybe two months night after night with the only change being the color of the wolf’s fur. I am just trying to figure out what this could potentially mean and so far all research I’ve done has given me no information at all. Any input would be so appreciated.
