Classroom office

I was working in the front of a classroom, but it had an office feel to it as well. There were children and adults sitting around in desks and open cubicles. It was getting late in the day and the sun was going down, but not near sunset yet. It was maybe 5 pm, and sunset was around the same as this time of year, around 7:30-8:00. I was loitering by the two front windows, pondering, when a little girl came up and said it was getting cold. Then she did two opposite actions from her words. She closed both windows, which made sense. But she also closed the shades, which would prevent the sunlight from keeping the room warm. After she closed the right window, I went back to open it up just a crack, to keep some fresh air in the room. I didn't want any conflict, even with this little girl, and was not happy about the drawn shades, but didn't do anything about it.
