Quitting My Job

My coworker Doreen came into my office and told me that she had borrowed a book that I had already borrowed from a library. Her borrowing it cost $30 to $40 and she said it was on me to pay it. I was like “...I can’t afford that right now.” and Doreen did a sarcastic little “awww🥺” before laughing and walking away like that I still had to pay it and nothing mattered. I literally went right to my boss’s office and quit on the spot. And when he tried to ask what happened I ended up admitting that it was because of Doreen that I was quitting. He seemed like he was going to take my side.
