It went downhill from there

Kat was in my house and we were hanging out on the 2nd floor. We were talking normally and having fun until I started lightly slapping her palm with mine like giving her multiple down fives. Her hand was held out and I kind of did it unconciously. She slowly withdrew her hand and I felt embarassed because I suddenly remembered the time that I confessed to her before and she probably did too. I think I apologized to her then the vibe just became awkward. I was feeling regretful because that was the only time I've been able to talk with her like that since we parted as classmates and I messed it up.
