Moving Out of a Family House

My family were moving out of a house. The house was spacious, clean and tidy. My son and I left earlier than my husband. My husband wanted to stay to repaint the inside walls white. I was curious because the walls looked fine, painted in white and not dirty at all. But my son and i left him to finish what he intended to do.
