Spirit vs. Law

I remember I was with my father at some kind of mall. The mall was quite large and housed a movie theater. We walked in and sat down to wait for the movie. That's when I noticed small lights on the back of all the seats. They were measuring various aspects of the people that sat in them. I noticed our's had a lit light labeled "Spirit". I don't know how I knew this, but I apparently had some large amount of spiritual power. I still have no idea what that's supposed to mean. Anyway, a police sheriff glanced over and started to glare at me. I got the impression the police were hunting people with spirit. I tried to get my father to leave with me, but he was as stubborn and thick headed as usual. I ended up fleeing the theater, into the mall courtyard. The sheriff chased after me. He almost caught me, but I grabbed a nearby coffee and splashed it at him. I almost got away again, until the sheriff began arresting innocent bystanders, declaring they were "too close to spirited individuals". I was unsure what to do then. I couldn't decide to flee while I had the chance, or give myself up so he'd release the innocent people. This was my wake up point. I never got the chance to decide.
