Waves

There is a big wave. People (Channon Christian and her boyfriend were there) are in the ocean as it comes. I worry they will be hurt because it's so big, but no one is. Gabriel walks out onto the pier where I am standing. He puts his arms around me, turning my face into his chest as he pulls me in the opposite direction. He says, "This is not for you. If you stay with me, you will be safe." I'm in a car, pale blue classic, a convertible. maybe another wave is coming, I'm not sure. I see an old yard sale. Gabriel tells me to stay near, but that he will return in a few minutes. I investigate the yard sale, while Gabriel goes inside to to talk to someone. It is an odd sale. There is stuff there that belonged to my mom, though in waking life I don't recognize any of it. I find a tube of lipstick. I put it on. It is a coral pink color and it looks odd on me. Gabriel comes out of the house just then. "We have to leave, Now" he says firmly. He looks at me, and says, "that's not a good color for you" as he hops into the car without opening the door. I get in next to him. He tells me that another wave is coming but we will miss it if we go now. But I'm calm. It seems far less scary sitting in this car next to him. I wonder if I should be more afraid. He looks me in the eye and says, "no. You will be okay here by my side."
