Gamestop at Mall

I was with my father at the mall. We were walking when I saw a GameStop. I looked through the window and saw a few Nintendo Switches on sale. One of the cheaper models was 150 dollars. I sort of remember talking to my Dad about them. We started walking again and eventually saw my Mom. She told us to wait for her outside as she wasn't finished shopping yet. So my Dad and I went to the elevator to go up, as this mall was below ground. As we walked up to the elevator, I asked my Dad if we could go to GameStop one more time. He responded by saying Holywood California causes him too much headaches, so I said that we didn't have to then. My Dad entered the key code 6278 into the elevator, and it opened it for him. I wondered how my Dad knew this magic key code and why the elevator was asking for one. We then entered the elevator.
