I feel that I've had this dream twice before. usually the second part of this dream is the ONLY part of the dream, but today a dream started out differently. I and other "classmates" found ourselves in an underwater Chasm that held light and warmth no matter how far you sank down or moved. the Chasm walls were about a football field length from each other at all times, formed of giant bookshelves and drawers and littered with unlimited junk furniniture. there was some sort of barrier of glass ceiling that we couldn't move through unless we had "permission" from something, so the dream started out just fine. the Chasm had different rooms, like different sections of a map in a video game, with each room having a different purpose, though I was only aware of the classroom. For most of the dream, my unfaced classmates and I were just moving around exploring, but when we moved to the classroom, our free mobility stopped. It was almost like I had been lucid dreaming before and then in this specific room I was forced back. it honestly felt like I had been wrapped by thin chains. slowly, painfully slowly for a dream, we were all dragged through the water to these wooden stadium like seats, like jury booths that faced each other and stacked on top of one another, and overlooked the only dark Chasm. there was some sort of screen at the end of this room, a jumbotron that never showed anything but I could see its white light always as I could hardly moved my head. then from the Chasm walls, these inhuman forms emerged. They were varyingly gray skinned, faceless, and shaped like drops of ink. they wore clothing that reminds me of the Victorian Era but with color, some with more a steampunky vibe. All male, is what I felt. For what seemed like hours these moon men questioned everyone in class random things and made me sing as part of my test. these creatures were frightening, especially since I couldn't move, though I never directly faced any of them. they all stayed halfway in the walls of the Chasm, barking out test questions. The dream shifts and I feel the deja vu of it. It is a wide and warm canyon again filled with junk. two other classmates are there with me in order to find a necklace. because I had had this dream before I automatically knew where to find it in all this abandoned junk. The dream usually continues with me searching for it, but I guess because I have the answer to this mind puzzle from before my dream needed to make it more difficult. I can not move anymore, arms still unable to move beside me. My classmates leave as if they're stuck playing their roles from before and cannot notice a change in me. They leave me where I am, feeling suffocated and helpless. from where I am I can see where the necklace is. It's on the second shelf from the bottom in the tortoise shell hope chest, wedged in the corner, but I can't reach it. It's frustrating and terrifying because I feel that this is part of the test from the first half of the dream. I can literally hear the dissapointed words of those creatures warping through the water. eventually, one of those creatures appears. He is pear-shaped and tall like slenderman, and friendly, and wears a black and red striped shirt and hat like a hotel bellboy. His presence is soothing and bubbly though he doesn't speak and has no face. He has no trouble pulling my arms away from my side, and though I still can't move well on my own, he drags me over to the hope chest where I retrieve the locket. When I find the locket, I have a revelation that this creature has been with me through the past rooms, watching. it's reassuring, and I guess I am satisfied. the dream ends.
