The Million-Dollar Mugger ✒

I discovered a bar/restaurant on campus that I'd never been to before. It was chill and artsy and there were drawings and comics all over the walls. It seemed like everyone who worked there was writing a comic in their spare time. After the bar closed a group of us went out walking - a couple of my friends I had come with and a few of the people who worked there. We walked but the scenery never changed. It was like we were on a treadmill in front of the restaurant. We talked about the "million-dollar mugger," a notorious local criminal that had been terrorising the neighborhood for weeks. A guy I had a crush on in high school (and may or may not still facebook stalk occasionally cough cough) was there. He and I got to talking. Things were going well. A+ banter. And then it got weird. Suddenly he revealed himself as the million-dollar mugger! Everyone was gone except for the two of us and a couple of his goons (who were dressed like cartoon burglars in striped shirts lol). They circled around us waiting for him to give a code word to attack. He seemed like he didn't want to give the code word, like maybe he was trying to give me clues to escape. It didn't make sense and everything was kind of muddled and blurry and I realized I was drunk. Then I was in the car with my parents, in the same restaurant plaza in the daytime. We drove past a restaurant with a cactus logo. Mom was trying to park and having a very bad time. Dad and I were making fun of her bad parking.
