I think the setting was Nazi Germany just before the war. I was a young male Jew, small build, fit and attractive with dark hair. I didn't identify with my heritage and had no religion, but was persecuted nonetheless and sent to work in a warehouse for Jews. I was a risk taker though, and would frequently find ways to break the rules. I'd talk to people I wasn't supposed to, go to restricted areas, not do my job, and one of my favorite things to do was steal chocolate. One day I got caught stealing chocolate and was assigned to go to a concentration camp as a result. I didn't know that people were being killed there. I just knew it was way worse than the situation I was already in, and that we were all being unfairly discriminated against. I got together with some friends and we managed to escape. We were afraid of ending up in prison if we ever got caught. Little did we know until later that prison would have been the least of our worries.
