falling but only audio?

there was no visuals, just sound, which has never happened to me before. like it was pitch black, and i was falling, like in those dreams where you feel like you're falling but then you wake up real quick, except it wasn't quick. i just kept going. i knew i was falling because my stomach had dropped and the wind was howling in my ears but there was nothing to see, and i was terrified bc i didn't know when i'd hit the ground. i could feel myself falling faster and faster, and i knew i was going to die. it was weird bc i don't think i was all the way asleep?? like while it was happening i was trying to figure out if i'd fallen off my bed, why i couldn't see anything, and what would happen if i died in the dream. anyway i think i woke up before i hit the ground, but when i did i sat up super fast and my heart was pounding & i was out of breath
