Patty Takes My Car

I’ve just gotten home from the airport and I check the time on my phone, which reads “11:30 AM.” I realize that I was supposed to go to the Tynan’s early this morning and then leave there to be at the McQuitty’s by 11am. I call Jaimie to apologize for not showing up and explain that I we didn’t land as soon as I thought we would. Thankfully, she’s very understanding. For some reason, I decide not to call or text Andie yet. I’m suddenly at the hair solan and my hairdresser—possibly Patty Costa (two of my childhood friends’ mom) needs to borrow my car. Despite how late I’m already running, I tell her that she can take it. She leaves with Alex (who has suddenly appeared along with my mom.) My mom leaves shortly after them, and I am completely stranded now. I call my mom in a panic and tell her that I need a ride. I’m at home with my dad who has shaved his goatee (he still has it in real life). His face looks way heavier than I remember it being before he started to grow his facial hair out. I wonder if he’s gained a lot of weight since then or if it’s just because I’m not used to seeing him a clean face anymore.
