The Golden Chain (weird and interesting)

A boy and a girl were chained up to eachother with a shiny golden chain and handcuff at their wrists. The chain could stretch and contract, and they grew up together that way. Whenever they were a wide distance apart from each other at the chain, the boy would act on his own and get into dangerous situations. One time, the girl looked away for a second, and when she looked back, she saw the boy in a prisoners outfit after he got in trouble with the law. The only way for them to be truly safe was to have no distance between them, and have the chain pull back completely for their arms to be against eachother. Years later as teenagers, the boy was injured in bandages, and passed away. The girl was then released from the golden chain for the first time.
