Joined the Police Force

I decided to join the police force in order to try to fix the problem of bad police. I wanted to be a physical example to all the other police how they should treat people. My first day my partner stopped a vehicle, it had two black males that looked like father and son and seemed like the son was college age or just exiting college. The father was very mad, and the situation began to escalate. I told them I didn't want any trouble, just to handle the situation and go about our day but the father stepped out of the vehicle and I began to get very nervous. I tried to shake those nerves by taking out a baton and demanding he get on the ground. A fight ensued, but it was very difficult to manage, I kept reminding myself, keep your cool, you don't need a gun, but there were moments in the fight were it looked like he was reaching for something, and my partner was fighting the son so the situation was quite scary and difficult to monitor. I finally was able to handcuff the father and put then both in the car. The entire time I was thinking damn, anyone of those moments where I couldn't see their hands and they were blatantly disregarding orders could have been a moment where a gun was pulled on me. I was a little freaked out. We got to the police station, that was apparently also a hospital. We walked them through. The father was irate and said the hand cuffs were cutting off circulation, so I asked if he could keep his cool if I took them off. He agreed. We walked for a ways and he saw a doctor that he apparently knew. He asked him for help, but I told him what happened and the doctor shook his head and said he couldn't help. The father freaked out. Flipped some table and began attacking me. The son began helping and the father grabbed my gun and took it out of my holster. I quickly grabbed it and we began wrestling for it on the ground. A shot rang off into the ceiling. Then I took the gun and put it to his head and said I would blow his brains out if he didn't cooperate. As someone who really dislikes police, this dream was a crazy glimpse as to some of the situations they can get into. It's scary. Still don't like police but now have a little more understanding as to how dangerous there job can be. Strange dream.
