the most beautiful lake

i don’t remember all the details. there was this extremely large lake. the lake was mainly all you could see. it was frozen and there were some groups of people skating around the lake, not very close to me. i was with paige and we had been with one of the groups of people but skated to an open spot on the lake on our own. the sky was a beautiful pink as the sun was setting. it was so beautiful and bright. the air was cold but calm and my own breath seemed so beautiful to me. i admired the air and the sky and everything around me. i looked at paige smiling. not so much the feeling or motion of it or anything felt real. surreally she grabbed my shoulders and began pushing me down into the lake. my skates cut into the ice and i was sinking. it was sad. i didn’t want to fight her back she’s my friend and i couldn’t understand why. i don’t exactly remember what happened afterwards but i believe my feet went into the water as i remember feeling the water and the coldness before i managed to get out. then everything was fine again
