My Idol

I’m obviously stressed right now and I think my consciousness gave me a treat. A break from my thoughts. A genuine act of kindness that I won’t take for granted. I went out to clear my mind and saw a secret posting for a Lauryn Hill concert. I ran back to tell my wife and we went. I got so close to her at “Hobbes Stadium”. I felt her touch my arm, I felt the joy of her serenading me. She’s my favorite person and I needed her. I’m grateful my mind gave me a chance to have her.
