Away from home, can't pack to return.

I was away overseas in a place like India. it was time to get my things packed in a suitcase and get to the airport. I discovered I had lost my suitcase and had nothing to put my things in. I was in a large open room like a barn, with a dirty rough earth floor and my things were scattered around. I tried to gather them in a thick old rug and blanket but it was useless. I was resigned to leaving without my things. I then noticed about 7 or 8 eggs lying on the ground and then noticed a lot of feathers. i thought there must be a chicken somewhere in the room. but then I saw a very large bird like creature, size of an emu, that had obviously pecked and consumed the chicken. I woke up.
