Timber house

Debbie and I are looking at a house, it must be ours because she is concerned how branches of trees are hanging over the roofline. It's a bit vague but it seems like a really established house. I do remember looking up at the roof and seeing a really big timber log kind of woven into the roof. The roof is thatched and I somehow reach up and pull the log out of the thatched roof. (I must be really tall and really strong because this log would be about 2 feet in diameter). I remember it hitting the ground on its end and then falling flat on the ground. Th roof looked like it was not damaged at all.
