Recession classroom

In a classroom sitting on the right side near the front I arrive early. Classmates start shuffling in one at a time they are all dressed with collared shirts and fresh haircuts I’m in casual pants and a thick tee shirt I pull out my phone and start scrolling My friend says he got fired from his job today Class starts now im looking at a half size magazine on my desk Teacher comes over and asks me why I’m not focusing on my work I laugh and actually say there was something related to it in the magazine (there was) She doesn’t believe me (she’s normally not this strict) The classroom is an analogy for work and the strictness is an analogy for the looming recession which could make more difficult job prospects
