Lessons from housecleaner

There was a lady I hired to clean my messy apartment. I wanted to give her space to d her job and not think I was hovering over her. But I also wanted to learn from her so I can do it on my own. She spent five minutes cleaning the sink drain, so I told her not to worry, and that I can get a new one in the next week or two. When she was already doing her work, I guess I didn’t ask her what she charged. She paused, and then said $20/hour. Maybe her usual charge was $15? I wasn’t going to ask. I told her that was fine, and she shouldn’t charge any less, to me or any of her clients, and that her service matters.
