Why Can’t We Be Friends?

I’m in a house that’s implied to be my house, along with Renee, Nicole, and Briana. The Mystery Machine™️ is inside the house with a bunch of equipment around it, and supposedly it’s not working. Nicole and Renee announce they’re going to go research some incidents going on around local businesses, and I laugh and say “you guys should see if maybe the former owner of one of these businesses is going around scaring teenagers in a costume” and point at the van. “If only” says Nicole. Briana and I are watching tv waiting for the Zdzieba girls to get back, and a commercial comes on that I’m sucked into. (The rest of the dream is first person inside the commercial) A bunch of cartoon dogs live in the wild with their families, and one day all of the puppies are abducted by aliens that live underground. All of the parent dogs get whatever weapons they can hold in their mouths and plan to raid the hole and save all their puppies. While they’re discussing plans, an older bird is sitting next to some older dogs (too old to participate) and he’s pacing back and forth. He whispers something to himself, and then turns to one of the dogs and says hi. The dog responds with hello, and the bird keeps saying hi. The dog gets confused and the bird gets frustrated, and goes back to pacing while muttering to himself in Japanese. One of the dogs hears this and responds in Japanese, which causes the bird to celebrate. Through conversation it’s revealed the bird was part of the Japanese in WW2, but was injured in the field and then rescued by an American dog. The bird starts flying around yelling a bunch of words in Japanese, and hundreds of birds come out of the trees to help the dogs rescue their puppies. The commercial ends with all of the dogs holding the puppies and thanking the birds for their help. (It’s implied at the end that the commercial is supposed to be anti-racism.)
