Tree in house

I was visiting Jenna G and she was giving me a tour of her new house, which was very nice. Then she showed me a tree that the house was built around. The tree was ancient and gave off some sort of precious material. I asked if it was maple syrup and she said no but couldn’t describe it. She finally said just reach in and feel it then taste it. The substance was a little thicker than water and felt velvety. I then tasted it and it was similar to maple syrup but got kind of crispy as it sat on my finger tips.
