River

I was with a bunch of people on the edge of this calm stream. We were all watching the water when a woman in our group fell in. We knew she was the one who couldn’t swim because she sunk like a rock. There was a little boy who was with her so we tried to get him to go in and save her but he couldn’t swim either. All of the sudden, I was the little boy and I jumped in the water. I quickly realized that the stream looked calm on the top layer, but was actually a swift current beneath. It didn’t pull me under but it launched me downstream. Everybody jumped in and we decided to follow the stream in hopes we’d find her. I knew she wouldn’t have survived but I went just incase her instincts kicked in and she was able to pop up somewhere down the river. I don’t remember much of what happened after, but there was something involving the police and then when the river forked into two paths.
