Magic Alien Dad

In this dream I was watching it like a movie and there was a brother and a sister. The brother was the guy that played Merlin in the TV show and the sister had long silver hair and looked like an anime character. Their mom had just died and then they found out that their dad was an alien, but they could all do magic. Well they were so upset when they found out that thwir dad was an alien that they left home even though they were supposed to be helping their dad build a barn. Well one day the dad looked out and saw the son working on the barn and they all got reconciled. Soon after coming back, the dad realized that someone found out about a certain magic spell and they were going to come steal it, so he put together a really elaborate 3D light show on his projection system so that when they came, they would think he was doing really deadly magic and would get scared and leave. He also had somehow lost part of the spell, which was in the form of a glowing orange liquid, so put a magic acorn into what was left of it, and then when the people came, they were fooled by the magic show at first, but my real-life brother Thomas was with them and he figured out that it wasn't real, and so they got into the secret room, but the dad had already taken the spell and run away. At that point, I realized I was actually there and I was standing with Emily and the dramatic background music was playing and she said, "don't you just hate when the violins don't play their part well?" And I said "I wasn't expecting this, I thought we were going to watch Wreck-It Ralph."
