Trip out of town

I'm in another city. When I'm in my hotel room, I can see the skyline. It's a bit strange, with some very tall building but mostly mid size buildings. I'm talking to a roommate or friend about how I like the view and I should travel more. Later, I come back to the hotel only to discover that my room is being renovated and I can't stay in it. Apparently this has been happening a lot lately. The staff leads me through the construction area to this unfinished room. Basically a wall and some plastic sheeting and an air mask to keep me safe from the dust related to construction. It's also dark.
