Crayola Lies

I was staying in a hotel. A woman I've known my whole life that I've had a rocky friendship with was staying in the room next to me. I decided to snoop in her things. I knew her room passcode and went inside when I knew she wasn't there. I saw an electronic device that I figured would have personal stuff on it. I unplugged it from the wall and took it back to my room. It was like a clock but also an electronic journal/messaging device. I hacked her password and began reading all her messages with other people. There wasn't anything too interesting. Before I could return it, she noticed it missing and flew off the handle yelling and threatening everyone over it missing. She directly asked me about it and I lied saying I had no idea what she was talking about. I felt guilty and began working out scenarios of sneaking it back in her room or returning it with some story. I then noticed the device was Crayola brand and thought I could somehow work that into a story where me borrowing it was more innocent.
