Party time..?

My ex was throwing a party and I was invited. His ex-best friends, which whom I'm still friends, were also there. Because I didn't want to talk to my ex (I don't want to get back with him, but I miss him), I talked a lot with the two guys who were actually in a long-lasting break with my ex. I had a lot of fun, but I know my ex doesn't like me still talking to him and I was kind of hurting him. After some time, those guys left and my ex and I both let them out of the front door. My ex owed one of them some money I think, because he started paying one of them. The other one felt left out and when they were about to step out of the door, he made some mean comment to my ex. I noticed how my ex got ready to smash him in the face, so I stopped him by taking his hand and giving him a hug. He was surprised by this, but he calmed down. We talked after that, about why I still talk to those guys and why I was there even though he's my ex. We were really honest and it was nice. Too bad it wasn't real life..
