New york bike

I just remember being in nyc or some other really busy city and I keep locking my bike up to this rail that looks out over a river, and people keep walking up to it seconds after I lock it up and try to pick it or saw through the lock. This is happening so often that eventually I just hold onto my bike and walk along the river. Even then people are still making attempts to steal my bike.
