In an alternate universe, I hated M for sticking with me for so long And betrayed her in the end I took the elevator to the top of the tower And to the train to the top of the hill _____________________________ The train back towards the top of the mountain was moving quickly As I walked carriage by carriage I saw each set of friends that I turned away The glass doors opened up until at the end of the train held the open faced extension carriage As I reached it, the train began pulling away from the station at the top of the hill The life I wanted was slipping away from my fingers I desperately ran towards the end of the extension carriage as the winds howled ferociously around me Finally, just as I reached the end, the train rounded a steep turn I was thrown out of the carriage (or did I let myself go?) and sent tumbling down the side of the hill I had held in my hands what remained of my life, a rubber band wrapped with cash, my yugioh collection, and tarot cards It all flung apart and I rolled with it From the top of the hill came a friend Who helped me pick up my things And I woke up just as we began talking
