Spaceship

I was on a spaceship similar to one in Star Trek. It was large and had a lot of civilians as well as crew members. I had made friends with other crew members but one of them was infatuated with another and wanted me/threatened me to help her woo him using illegal alien tech. I said no. I then went to send a postcard and picture to my family back on earth. In the photography studio I learned my personal locator was missing. Several people tried to help me find it but to no avail. I hoped one of my friends had took it but when I asked they hadn't. After checking in with the ship's tech guy, we all started to get worried. It was nowhere on the ship which was impossible as the locator cant be broken or turned off.
