I was on some sort of mission with the USS Discovery and the ship had crashed on some alien planet. A bunch of people banded together to go on an expedition to look for help/protect everyone else. Everyone knew it was super dangerous and basically certain death but there wasn’t much choice. I’d stayed behind, to help look after injured people and whatnot. But the expedition team never came back after a long time and we were running out of supplies. A few more people decided to go in search of them but they never came back either. People on the ship kept dying because we couldn’t take care of everyone. Some people just couldn’t take it and unalived themselves so that resources could go to other people. Eventually I either unalived myself, or went out on an expedition and got killed, I don’t remember, but after I died I woke up and found myself in a new ship with all the people who had died before me. They would clap for everyone who arrived and then explain how it was all some sort of test—where you only get out by sacrificing yourself for the sake of others, otherwise you’re stuck in the hellish cycle of trying to survive day after day. I thought it seemed cruel, but what could I do. There was a big cafeteria in the area where you arrived so I ate a bunch of food since I was so hungry. ——— According to my Apple Watch the entire dream took place within 2 minutes so that’s fun I guess 🙃
