The city it riddled with bombs Normally a fine city It’s out west near Las Vegas (or is) I’m in the basement of my apartment building, start walking outside Deep deep feeling of dread Could be bombed at any time Gone up in a burst of nuclear smoke, poof, gone Not only that but there are patrols around Who knows who are in these cars Need to make it to some oasis city Or build it But at the moment it’s only possible to think about survival How thin the line between boundless life and final, irreversible death
