I was in a holiday apartment almost, except it was my grandparents' house. I was staying the night and I slipped out to enjoy the night air while they were asleep. I came across a cute stripy grey cat and it seemed to like me. I sat with it for a while on a brick wall, petting it as I looked at the dark speckled sky. It followed me back and mewed so I thought 'Fiiiine just for tonight' and let him in. He seemed cool and settled down in a room opposite mine on the ground floor. My grandad was sleeping above me in a room that overlooked downstairs. He woke up and I thought drats don't notice the cat please. He was half asleep and said hi as he passed my bed and went into the bathroom. He came out and stopped for a minute, then walked over towards the room the cat was in. He giggled at me and said "ohhhh you hahaha putting fake poop on the floor" I looked at his feet and yelled no as he bent down to pick up a large piece of faeces that I assume the cat did. He lifted it an inch or two off the ground before recoiling in disgust. He started shouting how gross that was and I left the room to go up a different set of stairs to an old wooden part of the house that my grandma slept in. I saw a few cats that weren't the one I brought. My grandmother unfortunately came out of her room, drats she did hear the noise. Dazed and short tempered she asked what was going on. My grandfather appeared at the bottom of the stairs angry and explained. They came to the conclusion that it was one of the cats but my grandma was adamant that her cats are well trained. ... They're onto me. I tried telling her everyone makes mistakes and the only thing we can do now is clean it up and go back to bed. Then she started pointing at her cats one by one. Then again. Shit she's counting her cats. Luckily for me her mind is going and she kept going to 3 then had to start again cause she lost count. It gave me time to try and find the culprit and shoo him outside. Problem was every time I found a cat it was the wrong cat. Where the heck was he?!! By this time my gran had herded the cats downstairs to count them easier. He must've slipped out by himself that sneaky creature. I watched my gran get to four, then she pointed to the opposite end of the room and said "five..." No. He's not still here. I looked at my little pal and there he was sitting quite content and looking at me like 'this is what you get for inviting strangers into someone else's house'
