I’m with Renee and I’m running late to get ready to go somewhere. I finish getting ready and we get in the car to go to the store. We arrive at a grocery store, but once we’re inside, I remember that I’ve entered some sort of cooking contest. There are two rounds: entree and dessert. The contestants are allowed to make whatever they want for each round, but they’ll be racing against a clock and they have to “shop” for all of the ingredients they need. I feel like it will be really easy. The first round begins and I realize that the store is not organized like a normal grocery store usually is. I decide to make a pizza for the entree round, hoping that the ingredients will be easy enough to find. I make the pizza in time, but when I finish, it looks over cooked. The entrees are collected to be taken to the judges. I glance at another contestant’s plate—who happens to be Mr. Moseby from The Suite Life—and I see that he also made a pizza. I hope that my pizza somehow tastes better than his does… We’ve moved onto the dessert round now. The timer has started, but I don’t have any specific desserts in mind. I decide to collect random ingredients and I hope that I can get enough inspiration from them to throw something together. My first two finds are cocoa powder and pretzels, so I decide to make chocolate chip cookies with an assortment of toppings (similar to the “kitchen sink” cookies I’ve seen on Pinterest). I race around the store looking for the rest of my ingredients, but I can’t find anything. My time is running out, so I change my plan. I want to make some sort of dessert that doesn’t need to be baked so that I can save some time. I hear over the intercom that eight minutes have been added to the clock. I look up at a large digital clock over the judges’ table and watch the remaining time go from three to 15 minutes. I know that this math isn’t correct, but I’m going to take advantage of the mistake and not correct them.
