Diesel pump

I have a farm machinery firm. I’m replacing the diesel injector pump on a tractor for a client. I have the replacement part but I’m not sure if it is the right one, there are so many variants. The new one seems smaller. There is a circlip release type mechanism which I see how to operate on the new part and I can then see how to release the old one. As I release it I see it is mounted in a different orientation than it first appeared and the cover comes off… I wake up.
